I had three blogs when I was a kid. One for friends and family to read, one just for my obsession with Harry Potter, and another one with some random theme that I don't even remember. They were all written in Chinese.
So I guess you can say that I've always been a writer. But in my mind, that stopped when I moved across the globe at the age of twelve and suddenly had to write in English instead. I hated it – my English was as good as a third-grader's. The confident command I had over words and paragraphs suddenly meant nothing in a world of English.
But now, eight years later, English has become my (step?)mother tongue, so I thought I'd restart this childhood habit of blogging.
Even though I stopped updating my ancient Chinese blogs forever ago, I never stopped writing. For me, writing is catharsis. Writing is the thing I turn to when my brain is about to explode with too much useless thinking. Writing is how I organize my thoughts — combing them through my brain cells and onto my pages. But most notably, my writing for the past eight years has been password protected. I just let my fingers start typing away sentences never meant to be read by anyone but myself.
But blogs are a different ball game. Blogs are meant to be discovered, read, and favorited. But I think I'm just here to write to my heart's content, and hope you enjoy some of my adventures along the way.
So hello, welcome to my blog, check out some stories of others I've told with a camera, and read about some stories of my own.
Lots of love,
